Barracuda takes on the 2023 Black Hat Conference

The 26^th annual Black Hat Conference is just around the corner, and we are thrilled to share that the Barracuda team will be there in person for the first time since 2019! Black Hat is a cybersecurity event that brings together individuals and organizations from a variety of different industries, ranging from education and healthcare to retail and financial services. Attendees can participate in briefings and networking discussions to learn more about the latest security research and trends. Security experts will also be on-site providing advanced training sessions for guests to help increase their InfoSec knowledge.

The conference will take place from August 5 to 10 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Trainings will occur from August 5 to 8, while briefings and business hall events are scheduled for August 9 to 10. There are trainings and briefings that will be offered both virtually and in-person, so the possibilities are endless for participants planning to attend from all around the world!

Media event

Barracuda will be hosting a media roundtable for the press from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8. Industry leaders such as Barracuda CEO Hatem Naguib; Mark Ryland, AWS Director, Office of the CISO; Splunk GVP of Security Patrick Coughlin, Michael Daniel, President & CEO of Cyber Threat Alliance; and OpenPolicy Co-Founder & CEO Dr. Amit Elazari J.S.D. will be speaking about the impact that AI has had within the cybersecurity space. The media will be able to ask the panelists questions during the Q&A session at the end of the event.

Social happenings

Barracuda will also be co-sponsoring Level Up, Black Hat’s premier party, on August 9 at Skyfall Lounge in the Delano Hotel, starting at 8 p.m., and we couldn’t be more excited! All security experts and individuals are invited to register.

The event will feature breathtaking views of the strip on the 64^th floor, along with classic arcade games such as Mario Kart, Zelda, etc. Fitting with the theme of the party, attendees have a chance to win a Nintendo Switch after registration is completed.
