Barracuda extends enhanced network security with support for Microsoft Azure Virtual WAN

Barracuda has enjoyed a rewarding relationship with Microsoft over the years. From our early successes as the first and only Microsoft Azure Certified security solution in the Azure Security Center to our ISV Partner of the Year Award to our recent Partner Advisory Council and Cloud Summit, we've worked with Microsoft to provide the most secure and robust solutions to keep our mutual customers safe. Today we're excited to announce Barracuda CloudGen Firewall support for Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN) service.  The press release for this announcement is here.

What does Barracuda support for Azure vWAN mean?

The Microsoft Virtual WAN service provides large-scale connectivity, unified network and policy management, and optimized routing using the Microsoft global network. With this option, customers have more choice and flexibility in how they implement large-scale branch connectivity. 

Customers looking for enhanced network security can deploy the Barracuda CloudGen Firewall directly from the Azure Marketplace. The Barracuda connection to Azure vWAN is automated: Users need only fill out authentication information and click “connect.” Barracuda also utilizes dynamic routing protocols in the background to make sure new routes to new locations are automatically picked up and made available.
