The Incredible Spirit of a CAF Athlete

Barracuda has been a supporter of Challenged Athletes Foundation for many years.  Last Saturday we blogged about Andre' Kajlich, a CAF athlete who is the first handcyclist to qualify for the Race Across America (RAAM).  The solo race kicked off yesterday in Oceanside, California, and finishes 3,000 miles away in Annapolis Maryland. 

Our own support for Challenged Athletes Foundation is highlighted through our participation in Christmas Coma and NorCal races, but we also donate our time and other resources when possible.  If you're wondering why we love this organization and its mission, check out this video featuring Michael Hughes, our SVP of Worldwide Sales:

RAAM isn't just about the physical competition between the racers or the individual commitment to the challenge.  Racing in the RAAM is a great way to raise awareness and money for a cause and has helped racers raise over two million dollars for their charities each year for the last five years.
